Yashika Aggarwal is a Singapore-based abstract artist whose work explores the confluence of energies through layered, intuitive mark-making.
About Yashika
I was born with art,
but I did not begin there.
My journey began in a world of structure—systems, targets, and constant motion.
Alongside it existed a quiet restlessness—
a search for belonging, purpose, and the spaces between delusion and manifestation.
It was through yoga and meditation that I began to understand more of myself.
In stillness, I became aware of subtle movements—
energy shifting, emotions lingering, moments dissolving and reforming.
What began as a daily practice gradually extended into painting.
Art became a way to remain connected—
to observe, process, and stay present beyond the confines of routine and measurable outcomes.
Over time, this evolved into a practice rooted in intuition and introspection—
deepened through my study at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts,
where my engagement with the energy of each mark became more conscious.
Today, my work exists in the space between the seen and the felt.
Each painting is not planned, but discovered—
emerging through layers of mark-making, letting go, and acceptance.
I am drawn to the confluence of energies—
how they meet, overlap, resist, and transform.
This ongoing inquiry forms the foundation of my practice:
Intuition • Introspection • Confluence of Energies
